When funding is available, ACLENet sends a trained team to investigate reports of lightning mass casualty events. This involves examining the scene and buildings where the injuries happened, taking photographs to document damage, interviewing witnesses, survivors, and other affected by the disaster, documenting lightning occurrence with lightning detection data, and, when possible, working with government and school officials to prevent future injuries.
Reports of the incidents investigate to date include:
