Shone Primary School is located in west central Uganda in Kyankwanzi District

Shone Primary School is located in west central Uganda about 36 km from Hoima, the nearest city. It has an enrollment of about 84 students.

Shone Primary is a private school serving the surrounding community and located near Katuugo trading center of Nsambya sub-county, Kyankwanzi district in western Uganda. Richard Tushemereirwe, founder and patron of the school, is also co-founder and relationships manager for ACLENet. Field operations for ACLENet were located at Shone Primary for two years (2016 - 2018). In 2017, a lightning strike destroyed a computer, phone and other electronics being used by ACLENet's IT officer, Nicholas Opio, who was residing at the school, fortunately leaving him shocked but not substantially injured.

LP for Shone was funded by a Ludwick Family Foundation grant in 2019. ACLENet's Lightning Protection Working Group, made up of internationally known lightning protection experts from the USA and South Africa, designed and directed the installation of the LP system.
