Chandima Gomes
Chandima Gomes, PhD, is the founder of several organizations similar to ACLENet in many countries. He is an expert in high voltage and lightning physics, engineering and protection.
Dr Gomes has presented hundreds of training sessions in lightning protection across Asia and Africa and was the driving force behind the NAM S&T (Centre for Science & Technology of Non-Aligned and Other Developing Countries) conferences in Sri Lanka (2007), Kathmandu, Nepal (2011), and Kampala, Uganda (2013) from which ACLENet was born. He is currently a Professor at the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa and Head of CHEVE, the High Voltage Laboratory.
